Nov. 8, 2017 (Cleveland.com) -- The latest grant installment in the Safe Routes to School program has provided a "Giant" opportunity for Cleveland Heights-University Heights students.
It arrived this summer in a silver cargo trailer carrying 24 Giant-brand bicycles, a tire compressor and many helmets, all of which have been in use in physical education classes at Canterbury and Fairfax elementary schools.
They were deployed first at Canterbury in phys. ed. teacher Julie Lustic's third, fourth and fifth-grade classes, as well as in the annual "" family bike event at the start of October.
